about

CPFM is an ambient soundscape project by Australian producer Cayden Mowbray. Driven by the urge to delve into more subtle and delicate realms of sound, CPFM's compositions intricately merge rich textural layers with minimalist ideals, for an immersive auditory experience.

For his debut release, the 10-track album titled "Monaro Skies," CPFM invites listeners to traverse the melancholic landscapes of his upbringing in the Snowy Mountain region of New South Wales, Australia. This deeply personal journey reflects a pivotal time in Cayden's life when he grappled with the profound grief of losing his father to a heroin overdose at the tender age of 13. Through "Monaro Skies," CPFM guides listeners through both the isolated regions and emotional landscapes that defined those formative years.

With each track, CPFM endeavours to capture the beauty and haunting energy of the region, translating moments of sorrow and solace into ethereal melodies and atmospheric textures. From the expansive vistas of the Monaro plains to the sparsely populated towns of the Snowy Mountains, "Monaro Skies" serves as a sonic exploration of grief, resilience, and the transformative power of music.
